Arley Leo DeSpain, 74, of Hodgenville passed away Friday October 20, 2023 at Signature Health Care of Elizabethtown, with his loved ones by his side.
Arley was a member of Ovesen Heights Baptist Church, Arley was born January 9, 1949 in the Hodgenville Clinic to the late Minnie Thompson DeSpain and his father, Russell Leo DeSpain.
He retired from, G.T.E. Phone Co. as a Technician, and went on to work for City of Hodgenville Water Company and Wrights Towing.
Arley was a loving Husband, Dad, Son, Papaw and Brother.
Arley was preceded in death by, his mother, Minnie Thompson, and his brother-in-law, Charles Hines.
Arley is survived by his wife of 50 years, Delores DeWitt DeSpain of Hodgenville, two sons, Joey DeSpain of Buffalo, and Travis Leo (Tracie) DeSpain of Hodgenville, his father, Russell Leo DeSpain of Elizabethtown, two grandchildren, Hannah and Mary Beth, one brother, Larry DeSpain, one sister, Charlene (Paul) DeSpain Hines Bumgardner, all of Hodgenville, several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services for Arley Leo DeSpain will be held Monday October 23, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at the William R. Rust Funeral Home Hodgenville Chapel, with Brother Merrill Kurtz officiating. Burial will follow in the Red Hill Cemetery in Hodgenville with Full Military Rites.
Visitation will be held Sunday October 22, 2023 from 12 to 8 p.m. and will continue after 9 a.m. Monday at the funeral home until the time of service.
