Joyce Ann (Carter) Kennedy

Joyce Ann Carter Kennedy, 76 of New Haven, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at University of Louisville Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky.

She was a member of St. Catherine’s Catholic Church. She was a song writer who enjoyed singing and dancing. She enjoyed writing poems and listening to music. She was homemaker who loved her animals. Most of all Joyce was God fearing women who was a loving Mother, Grandmother, sister, cousin and friend.  Joyce loving spirit will be missed by many.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bryant Allen Kennedy Jr; her parents, Howard Carter and Martha Greenwell; a grandson, Justin Peterson; two great grandchildren, Bright babies; a sister; Judy Lane House; a brother, Jeffrey Carter.

She leaves to cherish her memories; two daughters, Tammy Joyce Kennedy Whitehall (Clifford Wayne) of Elizabethtown, KY, and Tina Joyce Gardner (Marty) of New Haven; a son, Tony Bryant Kennedy (Hallie Hoback) of New Haven; eight grandchildren, Tabby, Jenny, Buddy, Robert, Kristia, David, Cody and Toby; three brothers, Joe Carter (Janice) of Bardstown, KY, Jimmy Carter of Elizabethtown, KY and Howard Vittitow Carter of Elizabethtown, KY and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, October 3, 2022 at William R. Rust Funeral Home New Haven Chapel with Father Matthew Hardesty officiating. Burial will follow in the Edlin Creek Cemetery.

Visitation will begin at 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Sunday, October 2, 2022 and 9:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M.  Monday, October 3, 2022 at the William R. Rust Funeral Home New Haven Chapel.
