 Larry Gene Rust, 74, of New Haven, passed away Monday May 8, 2023, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, surrounded by his family.

Larry was born April 29,  1949 in Larue County to late Bernard Anthony Sr. and Mary Louise Corbit Rust.

Larry was a member of St Catherine Catholic Church, He retired from General Electric with 36 years of service, He was a loving father, brother, grandfather and uncle, he loved hunting, fishing, karaoke, and the outdoors.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by one brother, Bernard A. “Buddy” Rust Jr., three sisters, Theresa Louise Hall, Judy Rust Crune, and Debra Rust McIntyre.

Larry is survived by a daughter, Patricia Ann (Mark) Head of New Haven, two grandchildren, Miranda, and Carson Head, three brothers, Dennis (Rita) Rust of Springfield, Don (Cindy) Rust of Waxahachie Texas and Joe (Norma) Rust of Waxahachie Texas, four sisters, Cathy Rust of New Haven, Rita (Dana) Grubbs of New Haven, Lisa (Kevin) Head of Lawrenceburg, and Karen (Allen) Morris of Waxahachie Texas, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Mass of Christian burial will be held Saturday May 13, 2023 at 10:00 at St. Catherine Catholic Church with Father Scott Wimsett officiating, with burial to follow in the St. Catherine Church Cemetery in New Haven.

Visitation for Larry will be held Friday May 12, 2023 from 3 to 8 p.m. and will continue after 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the William R. Rust Funeral Home New Haven Chapel until time of service at the Church
